Description:Designed by Di Ford-Hall for Andover Fabrics, this cotton print fabric is perfect for quilting, apparel and home decor accents. Colors include cream, green, and brown. Although I'm not sure I would have name this design clover, as that draws such an iconic of the Irish leaf, this overall design is small in scale. It has a colored medium green ground. On top of the ground is a brown leaf that repeats over the ground, and in some repeats has more leaf fingers than in others. Radiating from the leaves is a background of teeny, tiny, delicate picotage and its very well done. Overlaying the entire motif is a small cream dot. With a distinctive vintage style, reminiscent of the late 1700s -early1800s, and combines multiple design elements that were popular in the 19th century. The resulting motif would work very effectively in patchwork, as well as in the setting, such as in setting triangles or as a border or backing.
